I am inspired by the story of Saalumarada Thimmakka, India’s ‘Mother of Trees’
She planted over hundreds of trees to heal her pain of not having had children. At 105 she has been able to watch them grow. Her dedication and commitment demonstrates the sacredness and love in her relationship to them. This speaks to me about the power in the connection and potential for healing in nature.
I often invite someone to build a connection with a tree. This can become an enduring resource in ‘all weathers’.
